Projection with environmental data

Irradier.Irradiate is generated from environmental data and electromagnetic frequencies. The installation reflects the increasing density of wireless communication signals in the urban environment.

 

A presentation of Manif d’art, in collaboration with Tutto Gelato and Galerie Ni Vu Ni Cornu.

Ælab and Guillaume Arseneault

(Montreal, Canada)

Gisèle Trudel is an artist specialised in media arts and a professor at the École des arts visuels et médiatiques de l’Université du Québec in Montréal (UQAM). She founded the art research unit Ælab with Stéphane Claude in 1996 and was a co-founder in 2008 of Grupmuv, a research/creation laboratory focused on drawing and moving images. She has been head of Hexagram-UQAM (2011-2013) and joint head of the Hexagram network (2012-2015). The artist regularly shows work and gives lectures in Montreal and throughout the world.

Guillaume Arseneault is an artist working in transmedia digital art. He is completing a master’s degree in communication, concentration on research/creation in experimental media, at the Université du Québec in Montréal (UQAM). His works have been shown at several art and music events since 2010, and in particular at the Chromatic festival, Igloofest and the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM).
