Nadia Myre

(Montreal, Quebec)

Born in 1974, Montreal artist Nadia Myre received a bachelor’s degree from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1997 and a master’s degree from Concordia University in 2002. She has had solo exhibitions at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC, and has participated in Sydney, Shanghai, and Montreal biennales. In 2014 she won the Sobey Art Award and, in 2016, the Walter Phillips Gallery Indigenous Commission Award. Her works are part of the collections of Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Canada Council Art Bank and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in New York City.
