Haroon Mirza’s technological installations utilize natural energy sources such as electricity and light to reflect on the complexities of today’s world through multisensorial symphonies.

Haroon Mirza

(London, England)

Born in 1977, Haroon Mirza holds a bachelor’s in painting from the Winchester School of Art (2002), a master’s in design from Goldsmiths College (2006) and a second master’s from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (2007). His work has been shown at the Tate Britain (London), the Irish Museum of Modern Art (Dublin), the New Museum (New York), and the Istanbul Biennial. He has earned distinctions such as the Silver Lion at the 54th Venice Biennale, the Nam June Paik Art Center Prize, and the Calder Prize. He lives and works in London and is represented by Lisson Gallery.
