Cornelia Parker
(Cheshire, England)
Born in 1956 in Cheshire, England, Cornelia Parker has a bachelor’s from the Gloucestershire College of Art and Design (1975) and a master’s from the University of Reading (1982). Her work has been shown at Ikon Gallery (Birmingham), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and the Venice Biennale. She was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts (London) and was named official artist for the 2017 British general election. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Musée national d’art moderne (Paris), the Tate Gallery (London), the British Museum (London), the Brooklyn Museum and the Museum of Modern Art (New York).
