The interactive sound installation her voice 1599-1672 gives back its voice to a religious artefact, a bronze bell that will resonate in the streets of Quebec.

A K Dolven

(Norway)

Born in 1953 and a native of Oslo, A K Dolven studied at École supérieure d’art d’Aix-en-Provence in 1973 and École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France, in 1979 before completing her studies at the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo in 1986. Her works have been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Royal Academy of Arts in London, UK, and at the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, UK. In 2021 the New National Museum in Oslo will honor her with a major retrospective. Dolven’s works are part of the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo, Kunsthalle Bern, and the Art Institute of Chicago. She divides her time between the Lofoten Islands in Norway and London.
