Pierre&Marie

Soudain, la beauté, 2017

Installation

With Soudain, la beauté, the Pierre&Marie collective has created a strange and mysterious forest. Like a freeze-frame in a story about to turn, the remaining narrative belongs to the viewer, who may detect signs of renewal in this commonplace but intriguing scenario.

Pierre&Marie

(Quebec city, Canada)

The collective Pierre&Marie is made up of the artists Marie-Pier Lebeau and Pierre Brassard. Both studied cabinetmaking before turning to the visual arts. Their work has been shown in many group and solo exhibitions in Quebec and Europe. Works by Pierre&Marie are in several collections—not only private but also public such as those of the Ville de Montréal and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
