Born in Paris, Patrick Altman lives in Québec City. In his photographic installations, Altman draws from museum archives to highlight the paradoxes of these institutions. Devoted to collection, conservation and the presentation of art, they provide him with fertile ground for his photographic investigations. Altman is a founding member of the magazine INTER and has been an active member and board member Centre VU for several years.
