Jean-François Cooke and Pierre Sasseville, who have worked under the name Cooke-Sasseville for the last 10 years, live and work in Québec City. Their installations have been shown in several major events in Québec and abroad. In 2008, they took part in The Québec Triennial: Nothing is Lost, Nothing is Created, Everything is Transformed, presented by the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal; in Québec Gold, uniting the work of 20 Québec artists in Reims, France; and in C’est arrivé près de chez vous. L’art actuel à Québec presented at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. The duo has garnered several awards and grants, including the grant Plein sud in 2007, a Loto-Québec grant in 2008 and several research grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts.
