Shimabuku, n\u00e9 en 1969, \u00e0 Kobe, d\u00e9tient un dipl\u00f4me de l\u2019Osaka College of Art (1990) ainsi qu\u2019un baccalaur\u00e9at du San Francisco Art Institute (1992). Sa pratique a fait l\u2019objet d\u2019expositions individuelles au National Museum of Art (Osaka), \u00e0 la Vancouver Contemporary Art Gallery, \u00e0 l\u2019Ikon Gallery (Birmingham) et au Watari Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo). Il a particip\u00e9 aux biennales de Venise, de Lyon, de Taipei, de Sharjah, de Kit\u0101ky\u016bsy\u016b, de Sydney, de Busan, de Kobe, de S\u00e3o Paulo et de La Havane. Ses \u0153uvres sont conserv\u00e9es par la Fondation Louis Vuitton, le Fonds r\u00e9gional d\u2019art contemporain \u00cele-de-France et le Kunstmuseum de Berne.<\/p>\n
